Camping Chez Gendron
Welcome to our Website

Campsite Chez Gendron lies nestled amongst the sun covered vineyards of Blaye in the south west of France, approximately 60 km north of Bordeaux and 40 km south of the Atlantic beaches of Royan. You will find us in the village of St. Palais-de-Blaye, a 10 minute drive from the town of Mirambeau.

Sunflower fields, vineyards and forests characterise this undulating landscape, which lies on the border of two departments, Gironde, famous for its bordeaux wines and Charente Maritime, for its cognac. Here, in the oldest wine producing area of France you can see how the wine is made using both traditional, old-fashioned methods along with the most modern techniques. You will find numerous opportunities for wine sampling around the area.

South-west facing, the terraced campsite offers superb views over the Gironde valley to the river some 5km away. Chez Gendron caters for sunseekers, nature lovers and those who just want to get away from it all. Chez Gendron also makes a perfect base for cyclists, walkers and daytrippers.

Chez Gendron covers an area of 1.5 ha and has been restricted to 45 grass pitches. Their terraced position and wooded surroundings giving sufficient privacy and shade on even the sunniest of days.

We also have static caravans and a wood lodge available for rent. For further information on rentals, see page rent!!

The camp-site is recognised by the ANWB, SVR and GGG camp-site associations. Pets are allowed.
